'Four'-tunate 'Four' Us...

It happened. Allie's officially the age she's looked for about 6 months now. We celebrated her fourth birthday beginning early Thursday morning (not quite as early as her very first birthday, but early enough for a school-day), and capped it off with a Rapunzel birthday party full of purple, sugar, friends, family, and fun.

Happy early morning birthday girl! (Birthdays are the few exceptions that warrant a smile for our non-morning-person girl.)
Allie and a few of her closest Rapunzels came in for a birthday snuggle with Abby.
Despite what this picture suggests, the ice-cream cake made it through the song..

Minus one begging boxer, plus one year.
Neither Chris, nor I have any idea what to do with this, but she seems pretty pumped (soccer starts in April).

Birthday wishes...
and Birthday Kisses.
It was a long two days, but Allie's birthday-party-day finally arrived. Pinterest, Grandparents and I combined forces to transform our townhouse into a town-tower for Allie's Rapunzel 4th Birthday Party. I'm a sucker for any excuse to combine Disney, good friends, and a happy Allie, so naturally, today was a very good day. When I asked Allie at bedtime what her favorite part of the day was, she said 'All of it.' A big 'thank you' to our friends and family for making it such a special gathering (and for braving the winter-weather that kept you on the road for much longer than expected going home)!

All Tangled-Up in fun...

Barb and Steve (Grammy and Grandpop) nailed the braided cupcakes. (The only combo of hair and food that is totally delicious.)
No one decided to scale their way to the party...fortunately.
Great Crafty-Grandmoms think alike.

She had this smile on her face the entire time :o).
Don't let this guy fool you...Nathan was partying with the best of them by the end of the afternoon!
A sofa full of male-solidarity.

On to more crafting!

And more crafting...

And more crafting!
When in a princess and pink Rome...
Do as the Romans do.

Get your princess on.
And...your super-girl-princess-snack-on.
Cupcake time!
Happy Birthday Family.
And no Allie birthday party is complete without a pin-the-something-on-the-something. Allie of course spun around with the blindfold and then took it off in time to pin on her flower.

She then proceeded to usher all of her friends to the braid so...
EVERYONE was a winner!
And, since she's declared that she will marry him, it's only appropriate that Allie start bossing Brady around now.
THERE'S the party animal!
Quick...
De-tangling spray...

And a brush...

Stat!

The streamers did 'knot' disappoint.
We had a (Flynn-Rider)-Wanted-Poster Photo Opp for all those who wanted it...or who were made to do it :o).

We didn't have to ask this birthday ham twice...
Or her Rapunzel twin.

Allie needs to work on her framing, but Brady's mastered the serious-thief-business-pose.
No shocker that Olivia has a mug-shot-made for Hollywood.
Grammy and Grandpop take a Valentine's Day turn.
Alice..wanted for extreme cousin-cuteness.
Sarah...she's been on the Allie's most-wanted list for a while.
Nathan...this kid is a total repeat offender.
Hannah's the queen of juvy.
:o).
Who let these two crazy kids in to the party?
Ebi...

And his partner-in-crime.
Blame the Buehlers for whatever was stolen.
The Hardmans - their rap sheet is pretty long.
Wanted for extreme-partying-skills. They brought Riley's cotton-candy-maker to the complete thrill of those young and old.
They even took orders!
This one ordered up some fun...
and she absolutely got it!
Happy Birthday, Al. We love you!
