Paradise

We had a packed weekend this Mother's Day weekend, but as Olaf would say, 'All good things, all good things.' We spent Saturday with Pop and Mums in Amish country eating shoofly pie, whoopie pie, and riding the train to Paradise. This train ride is one that Christopher remembers from his childhood and it was fun to get to share it with four generations of Eicholtz'.

No relation to the previous comment. But I find it tough not to smile at a hard-crafting toddler in pigtails and princess undies.

91 years age difference, same spring in their step :o).

Somehow I've convinced my family that Mother's Day is a time for unpaid manual labor to check off things on my house to-do-list. It's fabulous. First we gorge ourselves on lunch and then we get to work. Allie was all in this year.

And you never quite know what you're going to get these days with her outfits, which makes it even more fun. For example, just when you think she's gone mainstream...she throws on a pink tutu ballerina bear hair clip to garden...

...and thanks her Grammy for 'her' mother's day card.

When you live in a town-house, it just makes sense to tag-team outside duties, plus it's more fun that way.

And this is the very well-SPF'd face (applied it herself) of a proud 'project' creator. It's amazing what you can come up with when you take every wrench socket out of your Grandpop's and Daddy's tool kits and place them carefully in something they planned on throwing away...Amazing.
